How to Apply for Visa for Macao SAR of China

Specilal note: As of 1 May 2019, applicants who hold ordinary passports and apply for ordinary visas for Macao SAR, are required to submit their applications at the Chinese Visa Application Center. The Chinese Embassy and Consulates in the U.K. will no longer accept such visa applications. Diplomatic, service or official passports holders and applicants who are applying for diplomatic, service or courtesy visas for Macao SAR shall submit applications directly to the Chinese Embassy or Consulates in the U.K. as before. Applicants can either choose to submit applications via Chinese Visa Application Service Center, or to Macao Public Security Police Force directly.

1.Diplomatic/Official Visas

1) a completed Application Form

2) original passport with at least 6 months remaining validity and one blank visa page as well as a photocopy of the bio data page

3) the valid UK visa acquired and a copy of it

4) two recently taken 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photos

5) an Official Note from the relative institution

2.Visiting Visa

1) For Tourism

A. a completed Application Form

B. original passport with at least 6 months remaining validity and one blank visa page as well as a photocopy of the bio data page

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a copy of it

D. two recently taken 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photos

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a copy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao, tour receipt

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

2) For Family Visit

A. a completed Application Form

B. original passport with at least 6 months remaining validity and one blank visa page as well as a photocopy of the bio data page

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a copy of it

D. two recently taken 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photos

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a copy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

I. information of relative in Macao including name, address and telephone number, and photocopy of residence/stay document of relative in Macao

3) For Business

A. a completed Application Form

B. original passport with at least 6 months remaining validity and one blank visa page as well as a photocopy of the bio data page

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a copy of it

D. two recently taken 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photos

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a copy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

I. an invitation letter from the invitee in Macao

4) For Study

A. a completed Application Form

B. original passport with at least 6 months remaining validity and one blank visa page as well as a photocopy of the bio data page

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a copy of it

D. two recently taken 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photos

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a copy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

I. the admission document of a high-educational institute in Macao

 

5) For Work

A. a completed Application Form

B. original passport with at least 6 months remaining validity and one blank visa page as well as a photocopy of the bio data page

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a copy of it

D. two recently taken 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photos

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a copy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

I.The copy of the Proof of employment approval by the Macao authorities. For first-time applicants, the copy of the application form of "Non-resident Worker's Authorization to Stay" that passes the examination of the Immigration Department; for renewal, the copy of the application letter of "Renewal of Non-resident Worker's Authorization to Stay" that passes the examination of the Immigration Department

 6) For Dependant

A. a completed Application Form

B. original passport with at least 6 months remaining validity and one blank visa page as well as a photocopy of the bio data page

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a copy of it

D. two recently taken 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photos

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a copy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

I. Macao identity card of the family, document of kinship, etc

7) Stay as relative of non-resident worker

A. a completed Application Form

B. original passport with at least 6 months remaining validity and one blank visa page as well as a photocopy of the bio data page

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a copy of it

D. two recently taken 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photos

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a copy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

I. The copy of the approval document of Macao authorities to stay in Macao ("Approval Letter" of Special Authorization to Stay granted to family members of non-resident worker)

 

Time of issuing: The normal service takes 4-10 working days. The express service takes 3 working days, but is provided conditionally.

 

Important Notice:

1. Nationals of 79 countries and regions enjoy visa-free visits to Macao Special Administrative Region, for details, please check on http://www.fsm.gov.mo/psp/eng/EDoN.html#EDoN_VII.

 

2. Nationals of Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam have to apply for visas for Macao SAR of China prior to their travel.

 

3. National from countries other than the above 79 countries may choose to apply for visas for Macao SAR prior to their travel. or make a visa-upon-arrival (entry permit) application upon their arrival at Macao.
